Thank you!

I’ve now had a couple of weeks to recover from the exertions and excitement of the GM Fundraising Border to Border charity bike ride, and I want to say a huge thank you to all my colleagues, customers, suppliers, and even competitors, and friends who’ve given me such generous support.

My personal fundraising total currently stands at just over £25,000 and altogether the group has raised more than £150,000 – all for the Hope House Children’s Hospices.

I posted a blog half way through the ride when things were probably at their most brutal and there were only mountains and deserts ahead but now, looking back on the experience, I can genuinely say that the ride which was billed as the ‘toughest yet’ actually turned out to be the ‘best yet’.

That’s because there was genuine camaraderie amongst the whole team and probably the best team spirit which we’ve ever had on one of these rides, which helped to make even the steepest climbs and the hottest days something approaching fun.

I know that everyone gets inundated with charity requests these days so I’m very grateful to everyone who donated to this amazing cause.  Obviously, if you’ve been meaning to donate and haven’t got round to it yet, you can still pledge here

I’ll be taking over the Mila instagram account tomorrow sharing some more photos from the ride. You can follow Mila’s Instagram account here

From the bottom of my heart, thank you again.

Richard
