Remembering Sue

It is with great sadness that I write about the death of Sue Wood, who passed away recently and I will later be attending her funeral today. The Mila flags are flying at half mast as we remember someone who will forever be a part of the Mila family.

Sue worked at Mila for 10 years between 1994 and 2004 and was a key member of the team during one of the most pivotal times in the business’ history. She started out here as the Internal Sales Manager and rose to the position of Customer Services Director, before relocating to Norfolk to start a new married life with her husband Tim.

Sue was simply a delight to work with – a larger than life character, loud, boisterous, full of fun and great company. She was dedicated to her job but still managed to live life to the full – evidenced by the fact that when she left Mila she went on to indulge her passion for horses, riding regularly and even owning several racehorses with Tim.

Customers inevitably warmed to Sue, and I’m sure those of you who remember her will have very fond memories of the time she spent at Mila. Certainly, since we heard the sad news, many of us here have been sharing some lovely memories of Sue and remembering her very fondly.

We extend all our sympathies to Tim and to the rest of Sue’s family.

Richard
