Creative Website Developer

We are looking for an experienced creative website developer to join our award-winning marketing team and work across of range of disciplines to deliver engaging, rich, relevant online content. This role will be an integral part of this small, fast-paced department that is responsible for management of the Mila brand in the UK as well as marketing all Mila products and services.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable, creative and a driven self-starter. You will bring website expertise, ideas, marketing insight and, crucially, attention to detail to a department that demands a high standard of work. Most importantly you will have a great attitude, high energy and will want to be part of a team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is role represents an opportunity for an enthusiastic creative website developer to use their expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and in WordPress to develop, maintain and update websites as well as create online campaigns in house.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Updating, maintaining and day-to-day running of the Mila UK website
  • Ensure content on our website is always up-to-date including high quality images, keyword specific copy and downloads
  • Ensure our website is always fully functioning and responsive, optimised for desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile platforms
  • Photoshopping photography for use across our website
  • Developing new ideas and relevant content, inline with our marketing strategy, to keep our website at the forefront of the industry
  • Improving UX
  • Working within a team to create exciting on-brand content for our social platforms

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Preferably degree level education or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years experience creating and developing sites commercially
  • Mac literate
  • In depth understanding and demonstrable experience of WordPress
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS and Javascript is essential
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Experience with Mailchimp or similar email campaign tools
  • Understanding of developing a transactional website
  • A clear understanding of UX and user-centred design
  • Understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
  • Online copy writing skills with an understanding on keywords and SEO
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator software packages
  • Experience of Keyshot and creating CGIs would be advantageous but not essential
  • Microsoft Office
  • Social content experience across a range of platforms

Must hold a clean driving license and be willing to travel occasionally for some aspects of the job which may require over night stays – i.e. exhibitions, training, marketing events, customers visits, group company visits etc.
