I was on holiday a couple of weeks ago when the G-Awards finalists were announced and it’s great news that Mila has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s event.
There’s always a fantastic buzz around these awards and they really do read like a who’s who of the industry with the likes of Pilkington, Epwin, Synseal and the GGF all on the list of finalists as well.
Just like last year, Mila are in the Component Supplier of the Year and Trade Marketing Campaign of the Year categories which is a fantastic tribute to the hard work of everyone here.
Our marketing team won the Marketing Campaign of the Year award back in 2015 and the Best Digital Campaign at the FIT show Awards in April so they’re eyeing a hat trick, and it would be a different kind of hat trick if we were to win Component Supplier of the Year award because we have two of those trophies in our cabinet already – from 2013 and 2011, so fingers crossed!
I know there’s a certain amount of cynicism from some about all of these awards events, but personally I’m a great supporter of anything which recognises excellence in this industry and is committed to driving up standards.
We’ve submitted our very best entries and made it onto the shortlists so all we can do now is leave it to the judges and find out who’s won on the big night, which this year is 18 November.
