I’m very pleased to confirm that the UK Competition and Market Authorities (CMA) has today formally announced clearance of the acquisition of the Arran Isle Group by ASSA ABLOY AB. We are expecting the formal decision paper to be issued later this week.

This is obviously the news we’ve been waiting for since last September and comes at the end of a much longer and more arduous process than any of us expected to gain regulatory approval. We are still awaiting approval from the CPPC in Ireland and there is a final 30 working-day review going on there. Whilst respectful of the thorough process that the CCPC will continue to follow, we are optimistic of a positive outcome at the end of the revised review process.

As we stated at the time of the acquisition, we don’t expect to see any substantial changes to our operations for the foreseeable future. ASSA ABLOY have been clear throughout that their priority is to work together with Mila to service our customer base better and develop new and exciting opportunities for the future.

I will keep you updated as the acquisition progresses, but please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you
