When Synseal took the decision to update the security accreditations across its complete range of windows and door profiles, it chose to partner with the UKAS accredited Mila Test Centre in Daventry.
The test centre, which was the subject of a £100,000 upgrade and refurbishment last year, now claims to be the leading test facility in the fenestration sector and offers an efficient, highly skilled and, above all, customer friendly service.

A new Kitemark scheme is being planned to accompany the new TS007 security standard for domestic door locks.
The Door and Hardware Federation and Glass and Glazing Federation, with the support of Secured by Design and hardware manufacturers including Mila Hardware, have developed a new Kitemark for cylinders and protective door furniture which resists cylinder snapping, bumping and other forms of cylinder attack.

Mila Hardware probably isn’t expecting too many orders for the new Royal Wedding themed handle it promoted on its website today.
The Solid Royal PAF (ProStyle Advanced Finish), which was apparently to be available in plated gold finish with a crown engraved into the backplate and Kate and William’s initials engraved into the lever, was in fact just the latest April Fool from the hardware company which has become something of a specialist in April 1 pranks in recent years.
