Mila can never be accused of being a ‘me too’ company. We're constantly innovating and looking for ways to create new sales opportunities for our customers.
We've recently reviewed our door knocker range and following this our in-house product design team have come up with a genuinely original innovation that I believe will establish a brand new market.
As well as focusing on the all important ‘kerb appeal’ of our knockers with a series of contemporary new designs and coordinating door furniture, we’ve also been looking at utilising new technology, developed in-house, that'll literally take the ‘knock’ out of the knocker.
Our product designers have incorporated a minute scanner into the front of the knocker itself which will activate a digital knocking sound whenever a visitor passes their hand in front of it.
For consumers, this will reduce wear and tear on the knocker and keep the beautifully polished decorative finish free from smudgy finger marks and abrasions. For us, it means that we've been able to reduce the number of moving parts in the designs, thus keeping prices competitive for our customers.
Homeowners will be able to select from a range of digital ‘knocks’ as well as a cheery ‘Hello’ or friendly sounding dog bark. We're also looking at adding fingerprint recognition technology to the knockers in the future enabling regular visitors to personalise their digital knock with a variety of different downloadable sounds from our website.
We’ll be launching our new range of knockers and door furniture in the next few months. You’d be a fool to miss them.
