Next week, we'll be opening the new Mila Test Centre opposite our Daventry HQ.  The test centre has existed for well over 20 years carrying out PAS23/24 and BS7950 testing for customers and has always been a well used and valued resource.

However, we’ve now decided to shake up the test market with a complete relaunch and give the institutional players a run for their money. 

Refurbished and equipped with top of the range rigs, our new UKAS accredited test centre is aiming to become the leading testing facility in the window industry offering a faster, more responsive and more cost effective service than our competitors.

For many, testing is a necessary and sometimes expensive evil but we intend to communicate to the market the benefits of being able to display the safety and security accreditations which matter to both commercial and domestic customers and inject some much needed dynamism. 

We’ll be running Product Development Testing Days allowing customers to book the test centre and a technician to test and evaluate the performance of different window, door and hardware solutions. Product Training Days will also be available and sales teams can come down and see for themselves how the products they are selling comply with the different standards.

We’ve appointed a Test Centre Administrator to increase efficiency and we’ve introduced new facilities for customers including a conference room and viewing areas.

It won’t just be open to Mila customers though - the test centre will assert its genuine independence by being available to any fabricator or manufacturer who wants to book a test.
