The MILA Test Centre plays an important role at MILA. We have extensive facilities to ensure that products meet the relevant industry standards. The MILA Test Centre is a UKAS Accredited Testing Laboratory Registration No. 2235. Accreditation is for testing to:

• BS 7950:1997 - Enhanced security performance of casement
  and tilt turn windows for domestic applications
  
• PAS 24-1:1999 - Enhanced security performance for door
  assemblies - single leaf doors
  
• PAS 23-1:1999 - General performance requirements for single
  leaf external door assemblies to dwellings

A requirement of UKAS accreditation, the national body which assesses the competence of organisations providing calibration, testing, inspection & certification services, is a high degree of confidentiality to commissioning clients. MILA's commissioning customers are able to witness actual testing procedures of their products in the Test Centre, after which they will receive an official certificate supported by a comprehensive test report.

This is supplemented by a unique three year rolling programme undertaken in partnership with the British Board of Agrement. This five month assessment programme covers endurance testing, corrosion testing, mechanical loading resistance and also weather tightness where applicable.
