It is noticeable that PVC-U and aluminium window
and door products are no longer described as “Maintenance
Free”. In reality the doors and windows using
man-made materials cannot be totally maintenance
free but should attract extremely low maintenance
costs compared to alternative materials, providing
the
products are correctly designed, manufactured, installed
and maintained. Regular, effective maintenance has
been proven to prolong the serviceable life of windows
and doors thereby reducing replacement and repair
costs.
Established in 1988, the aim of Mila Maintenance
and Project Services is to help minimise the long
term maintenance costs associated with the housing
stocks of Local Authorities and Housing Associations.

linked via telephone to MILA central control, MILA

Mila Maintenance is licensed with the Glass Qualifications
Authority as an approved centre to offer G.Q.A. Qualifications
(N.V.Q.’s). The division has licensed Internal
Verifiers and licensed on site assessors working
in conjunction with the Glass Qualifications Authority
and relates to qualifications (N.V.Q.'s) in Installation
and Maintenance. All Service Engineers hold (or are
working towards) N.V.Q Level III in Glazing Installation & Maintenance.
